Going for your Ls

Information and advice on passing the Driver Knowledge Test and getting your Learner licence.

Before you sit for your Driver Knowledge Test, the RTA recommends studying the Road Users' Handbook and the brochure Getting your driver licence so you know the Road Rules and what having a licence means.

NRMA Safer Driving School's tips on going for your Ls

It will also pay to make the most of being a passenger - before you get behind the wheel. Make sure you:

  • Watch exactly how things work in the car
  • Ask lots of questions and absorb the answers
  • Have the Road Users' Handbook handy so you can resolve any disputes there and then.

Once you have your Ls, you're ready to book lessons with NRMA Safer Driving School. We will stand you in good stead for your years ahead on the road.
