Module 1: will utilise professionally accredited, NRMA trainers to build awareness of the risks learner drivers face out on the road and focus on making safer driving decisions including; hazard perception, following distance behaviour, speed selection and gap election. It will also teach proven, safe driving behaviours and techniques, so Learner Drivers are better equipped to be safer drivers for life.

Module 1 is designed to run in a classroom environment for 3-4 hours with numbers ranging from 8-12 participants.

Module 2: is where all the skills learned from the classroom session in Module 1 are reinforced in the real world with professional, practical, in-car coaching. Module 2 will utilise professional NRMA Safer Driving School instructors to coach learner drivers with a focus on the individual's specific needs.

The main goal of Module 2 is to coach the learner driver by reinforcing low risk driving behaviour covered in Module 1. This is achieved through 'asking' and 'exploring' rather than 'telling'. Module 2 must be taken within one month of completion of Module 1.
